Replace a file with a new version

Update a logo or document without breaking anything that's live.

  1. In Assets, open the file's menu and choose Replace (new version).

  2. Pick the new file. It becomes the next version of the same asset.

What changes where

  • Drafts and the brand style use the new version right away.

  • Live brandbooks keep the version they were published with. Publish the brandbook again to give readers the new file.

This way a replaced file never changes a published brandbook by surprise.
