Draft and live: how publishing works

Every brandbook has two sides:

• Draft — what you edit. It saves automatically, and only editors and admins can see it (in the editor and the preview).

• Live version — what readers see. It only changes when you publish.

When you publish, Brandbooks stores a fixed snapshot: pages, design, logo and the exact file versions. Later changes to the draft, the brand style or files don't touch that snapshot until you publish again.

• Draft — never published

• Published — the live version matches the draft

• Unpublished changes — the draft has changes that aren't live yet

• Archived — offline, kept for later
